About us

We know accounting is tiring and hard to get into. Instead of asking you, a small business owner, to adapt to how the industry has always done things, we turn it on its head.

We think it is hopeless that customers have to spend valuable time reading articles or sitting through hour-long webinars to do simple tasks in a system.

That is why we are building the world's simplest accounting system. You talk to Taki, which translates and carries out the tasks for you, instead of handing you a recipe or long explanations of what needs doing.

Who we are

We are a team of founders, AI experts, designers and accounting experts who got tired of using accounting systems the old way, and have fundamentally changed how easy it can be to run your company.

We are allergic to needless clicking through windows and forms. What we do like is giving small business owners real insight, and a great deal of it sits in your accounting data. We love spending time with customers to build the system of your dreams.

What we are building

In the first product we focus on a new kind of experience for you as a business owner, and for how you work with your accountant.

Not everyone can afford to pay for that, so we have taken active steps to lower the barriers for sole proprietorships that have just started out.

For companies that do not want an accountant, a self-service option is coming before long.

The Taki team

  • Runar Gundersen

    Managing director

For several years I worked on innovation at DNB, Vipps, and at other companies before starting out on my own.

Guilty pleasure: "Tom og Jerry" biscuits and Mafs Australia, season 13.

    Runar Gundersen
  • Johanne Hagelin

    COO

I come from Visma, where I worked on acquisitions, strategy and large projects across the group.

I managed to sign up for an ultramarathon on a drunken bet, before I had ever run more than 10 km.

    Johanne Hagelin
  • Ådne Djuve

    CTO

My background is cybernetics and robotics at NTNU, and I have worked with AI and cloud solutions since.

I am unreasonably good at believing this is Manchester United's season, year after year.

    Ådne Djuve
  • Mohamed Shukur

    Head of Product

I have been a CFO and an accountant, and in recent years I have worked on making accounting more efficient.

I was Hallingdal's best at horseshoe throwing several years running.

    Mohamed Shukur
  • Christopher Pearsell-Ross

    Head of Design

I built furniture in Toronto before I got into software, and have worked with UX and language models since.

You will find me in a yoga studio, a sauna, the forest or a game of D&D.

    Christopher Pearsell-Ross
  • Shashank Balaji

    AI Engineer

I have built AI in startups in Norway and France for six years, with agentic solutions.

I am a certified neat freak and a proud defender of pineapple on pizza.

    Shashank Balaji
  • Martin Jan

    Frontend Developer

I have spent the last seven years as a frontend developer in Norwegian startups.

I can probably rebuild your bike before your workday is over.

    Martin Jan
  • Mathias Haslien

    Fullstack Developer

I am from Sarpsborg, studied IT and business in Oslo, and ran my own moving company on the side.

I hate running, but I run a marathon every year anyway.

    Mathias Haslien
  • Björn くま Lapakko

    Consultant (and customer)

I have worked commercially and creatively in international companies and startups for over twenty years.

I did the Birkebeiner completely untrained and got the last qualifying time, beaten by two men over eighty.

    Björn くま Lapakko
  • Marie Raknerud

    Customer Lead

I started out with social media and newsletters, and ended up digging into data and working on customer experience at large companies.

I was snowed in on the mountain plateau with a team of 14 huskies for a full day, alone.
